The inaugural meeting of the Committee is planned for early 2025.
The mission of the Digital Marketing and Communications Governance Council will be to establish, oversee, and support the implementation of a university-wide digital engagement governance program. The Council's goal will be the continuous improvement of the digital user experience across Queen’s websites and the strengthening of the Queen’s brand online.
This includes:

establishing strategic priorities for our public presence in the digital environment

creating and monitoring adherence to policies, guidelines, and standards for publishing Queen’s content online

identifying and evaluating exposure to risk (clarity of responsibilities, continuity of service, reputation management, compliance with legislation)

securing resources; supporting individuals and teams to accomplish these objectives
The Council will be sponsored by University Relations, with Michael Fraser (Vice Principal, University Relations) as chair. The group will include representatives from the senior leadership teams across campus.
