On November 1st, the National 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) showcase was held at the annual Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS) conference in Toronto. Julia Tropak (Chemistry), Queen's and Ontario's first place representative, came third overall. A huge congratulations Julia for again representing the University so well.
The top two finalists from each regional competition (Western, Ontario, Eastern), as well as the top finalist from the French version MT180 and the 2024 SSHRC Storytellers, presented their talks to Deans, Associate Deans and administrators from the Canadian graduate sector. The event was streamed live and at the end, a People's choice was held in order for CAGS to find the top presenters that will represent Canada at the Council of Graduate Studies in St.Louis, Missouri.
The participants were:
- Nada Al-Emadi, University of British Columbia, who came second
- Michale Mensah, University of Regina, who came first
- Julia Tropak, Queen's University, who came third.
