Each year, the GPDN hosts a virtual career symposium for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars aimed at professional development and career exploration. Presentations by GPDN members and invited experts cover topics including inspirational keynotes, career self-assessments, resumes, informational interviews, and networking.

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Career Symposium will run online from Tuesday, November 19 to Thursday November 21 from approximately 1:00pm to 4:00pm ET each day. The Symposium will feature a keynote address by Dr. Joe Kim, a cognitive psychologist from McMaster University, who will present on "The psychology of focusing on what matters". The keynote will be followed by a session on values from Lorna MacEachern, McGill University. Check out the full symposium agenda.

The School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs at Queen's University is one of the sponsors of this annual event to allow our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to register and participate.  This is therefore free of charge to you, but you must register.
