As the temperature in Kingston drops below zero, it’s not only important to embrace the winter weather, but also to ensure that you are prepared for the cold! Whether you are taking a stroll downtown, or heading out to Cataraqui Centre, make sure that you are bundled up for your holiday shopping. In case you missed the Kingston (virtual) Holiday Market, you don’t want to miss out on the in-person event, from December 2nd to December 17th. The Kingston Holiday Market will be open for holiday shopping starting on December 2nd, at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. This event features numerous local vendors, showcasing handmade products and collections at affordable prices. The collections include handmade art, food, crafts, gift sets, and many more that will get you into the holiday spirit.
With Black Friday just around the corner (on November 24th), make sure that you are getting all the best deals that Kingston has to offer. If you’re shopping local, many of these stores will reveal their Black Friday sales on November 24th. Thus, it’s time to throw on your winter gear and head downtown this Friday, to check out the local shops in Kingston. However, if you can’t shop in-person, many of these deals will be disclosed on social media and can be accessed online as well.
If you’re more interested in shopping at the retail chains such as American Eagle, H&M, Sephora, Indigo, etc., these stores will have their own Black Friday deals available, starting this Friday! To save yourself from the cold weather, you can head to Cataraqui Centre and check out the different sales and promotions. You can check the Cataraqui Centre's website to see if there are any Black Friday sales that have started early, to avoid the large crowds on Friday. Whether you are shopping for yourself, or for others, these deals are not to be missed!
If you’re more of a practical shopper, there are other Black Friday deals that may appeal to you. For students living close to campus, you are likely aware of the rising costs of groceries and other household items, especially in the downtown area. Therefore, Black Friday is the perfect time to stock up on the things that you need, for a lower price. You can check out the Black Friday flyers that are available in the Kingston area here.
Whether you’re shopping in-person or online, I hope you have a successful Black Friday, and stay warm in the colder climate!
