Jik-hung Au

About

Au is a former journalist for The Straits Times in Singapore. After working in journalism for seven years, his enthusiasm for the politics and history of East Asia led him back to campus for academic research.

With a keen interest in situating the history of modern China within a global context, he has been working with Dr. Emily Hill on the international reconstruction of China following World War II. He is committed to researching the competing visions of an increasingly nationalist China and a nascent world order that challenged the boundaries of nation-states.
