Mike Arsenault

Mike Arsenault is the morning show host for Global News Weekend, Global’s national weekend morning show.

He began his broadcasting career in 2013 as an on-camera presenter and field reporter with The Weather Network. He also presented weather forecasts on CBC News Network, CBC Toronto, and CBC’s The National.

He joined Global News in 2015, where he has created and produced the following series: What’s Your Fitness Age, Second Serve: An Inside Look at Canadian Tennis and The Drive to 300 Yards, among others. Currently, he produces original content for Global News Weekend and the Global News affiliate network.

He has also worked as a sideline reporter for CBS and ESPN.

In his spare time, Mike can be found on the tennis court or golf course in the spring, summer, and fall and thinking about being on the tennis court or golf course during the winter.

Mike says that he “looks back fondly on my time in the Department of History, as the courses taught me how to become a better writer, think critically, and also provided me with the tools to answer more questions correctly while watching Jeopardy!”
