Teaching and Learning Month

Teaching and Learning Month

Each May, under the sponsorship of the Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, Queen's University is excited to host "Teaching and Learning Month." This event marks another step in our University’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence, dedicating a month to celebrate and reflect on the innovative teaching practices and learning experiences that are central to our community. It brings together faculty, instructors, post-docs, support staff, and graduate teaching assistants in a shared mission to foster a culture of excellence in student learning.

The month is an opportunity to come together, learn from each other, and deepen our commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment for all at Queen's University. Help us make this month a significant step towards enriching the educational journey for everyone involved.

Quote from Gavan Watson, Vice Provost, Teaching and Learning:

"Teaching and Learning Month" aims to illuminate the diverse efforts across the university that contribute to enhancing teaching and learning. It offers an opportunity for the Queen’s community to showcase the activities and initiatives that support our educational mission. Through a series of events organized by units across the University throughout the month, this celebration acknowledges and builds awareness of the contributions we make to supporting the student learning environment.

Aligned with Queen's strategic goals, "Teaching and Learning Month" focuses on advancing effective pedagogies and leveraging technology to better prepare students for their future endeavors. This celebration aims to inspire the Queen's community to continue seeking innovative ways to enhance the educational experience for our students.
