Teaching and Learning Month

Teaching and Learning Month

Now in its second year, Teaching and Learning Month at Queen’s (May–June) brings together teaching and learning events from Faculties, Schools, and Support Units, providing a shared focus for showcasing innovative practices and fostering collaboration. Organized by the Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, the month highlights Queen’s commitment to student learning and academic excellence.

A key event this year is the visit of Dr. Sarah Elaine Eaton, a full professor at the Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary, and an honorary associate professor at Deakin University, Australia. A leading expert in academic integrity and ethics in higher education, Dr. Eaton will deliver a keynote address and participate in discussions on May 29 and 30, exploring academic integrity in the age of artificial intelligence and its impact on teaching and learning. Her visit serves as a culminating moment of the month, offering a chance to reflect on shared challenges and opportunities.

Teaching and Learning Month provides a platform to recognize teaching excellence, share ideas, and strengthen Queen’s learning community. The Centre for Teaching and Learning will coordinate event promotion, with details available on the CTL website.
