The Nyantende Foundation

In the fall of 2010, two Canadian high-school friends, Jon Skarsten and Spencer Goodwin, now in their 3^rd years of Commerce and Global Development respectively, sat down with a Congolese man, residing in Kingston, named Aristide. Sipping CoGro coffee and talking amidst the noise of the ARC, it was these first few meetings in which the Nyantende Foundation, a small, grassroots organization operating in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo was formed.
