In Queen’s Arts you have options. With more than 20 programs in the humanities, social sciences, languages, and creative arts and over 150 possible program combinations, you can find a program that’s the perfect fit for you. As a Queen’s Arts student you’ll also:
- enjoy an undeclared first year, where you can explore your options in the arts and/or the sciences before choosing a major at the end of first year

A Glimpse into First Year
Your first-year experience will be completely unique to you. You will have the opportunity to pick your own classes, join clubs, participate in sports, meet new people, and figure out what you want to study during the rest of your time at Queen’s.
- Live in a residence building on-campus, or live off-campus in beautiful Kingston – no matter where you live, you’ll have the chance to feel connected to campus, students, and the city
- Choose five courses per term that really interest you, where you can explore and narrow down your passions
- Attend Majors Night during the Winter term to explore the 30+ programs in Arts and Science to help you select your major by the end of first year
- Pick from over 1,100 student volunteer and leadership positions, and roughly 300 student-run clubs to get involved in the Queen’s community
