Increasing focus on United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals at Queen’s

Across the Queen’s community, a great deal of research, teaching, learning, community engagement, and stewardship activities are directly related to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Increasing awareness of these relationships and coordinating and enhancing the work is a priority for the university. Like the Queen’s Strategy, UN SDGs call on us to harness our sense of social responsibility, address significant and urgent real-world challenges, and advance our social impact.

Celebrating staff achievements

Two teams and six individual staff members are being celebrated for their excellent work and accomplishments at Queen’s.

The 2022 Special Recognition for Staff Awards recognize staff, nominated by colleagues, who have gone above and beyond their day-to-day activities to have a lasting positive impact.

Award recipients and their guests are invited to a private reception in late April.

Queen’s University, in collaboration with its community partners on and off campus, is taking action to encourage students to focus on well-being, respect, and responsibility, while also preparing to enforce bylaws and the university’s Student Code of Conduct to ensure students don’t put themselves or others at risk over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
