These annual awards celebrate teaching excellence and the diverse ways in which the student learning experience is enhanced by educators and educational supports at Queen’s. This type of institutional recognition can translate to being recognized at provincial, national, and international levels.
Award categories are:
- Indigenous Education Award
- Alumni Award for Engaging Students as Partners in Learning
- Educational Leadership Award
- Educational Technology Award
- Globally Engaged Education Innovation Award
- Promoting Student Inquiry Teaching Award
Nominations may be submitted by students, faculty, and staff colleagues, department heads or deans, and alumni. Self-nominations are also accepted. Online nomination forms are available on the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor’s website.
To support with preparing nominations, the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor and the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invite anyone interested to join a webinar on Wednesday, Oct 4, from 2-3 p.m. Led by Dale Lackeyram, Director of CTL, the webinar will be valuable to first-time nominators, as well as those who have submitted in the past. Plan to attend on Oct. 4 to ask questions and learn valuable skills for responding to the criteria and crafting an effective nomination. A recording will be available online following the event.
