“As a graduate from both the Queen's Gender Studies undergraduate and master's programs, I am thankful for the possibilities that continue to be offered to me due to my time in the department. My educators guided me to build a critical analysis at the roots, to creatively work through complex topics, and to explore my personal/social engagements with the world. I am particularly proud of my major research paper titled “De/Constructing Belonging on Turtle Island: Engaging with Queer Femme South Asian Muslim Diasporic Critique Through Creative Works”, supervised by Dr. Trish Salah, and the podcast project I continue to work on, queer muslim resistance, supervised by Dr. burcu baba.
