Three SURP alumni shared Britain’s Royal Town Planning Institute International Award for Planning Excellence for the City of Vancouver’s new Broadway Plan. John Grottenberg MPL’08 was Project Lead, Andrew Misiak MPL’15, was Stakeholder Engagement Lead, and Zoe Acton MPL’19 was a planner on the project team.

The RTPI awards celebrate outstanding projects, plans, and people who are helping to transform environments, economies, and communities. For the Broadway Plan, panel judges were particularly impressed by the project team’s “commitment to reduce overall gas emissions, their community engagement, their innovative approaches towards affordable housing provision and their timely Plan preparation.” Congratulations!
