Congratulations to Julianah Adediji, a PhD student working under the academic supervision of Dr. Neal Scott. Julianah is the recipient of a 2023 Travel Award from the International Humic Substances Society (IHSS), which is recognized as a world leader in fostering scientific education and research, and promoting public understanding of humic substances (complex, heterogeneous mixtures of polydispersed materials formed in soils, sediments, and natural waters by biochemical and chemical reactions during the decay and transformation of plant and microbial remains).

In addition to the IHSS Travel Award, Julianah will be given the Ronald Malcolm Award, presented by the IHSS to the most outstanding applicant for a Travel Support Award. Julianah will receive the award when she travels to Santiago, Chile for the IHSS Conference in August, where she will also be presenting her research. Well done, Julianah!
