sophie anne edwards, environmental artist, geopoet, curator and author of the acclaimed Conversations with the Kagawong River, will be joining the Department of Geography and Planning as the first Geopoet in Residence from January 15 to January 27, 2025.

Various activities are scheduled including an interdisciplinary workshop, Learning to Listen to Rivers, with a group of wonderful guests and cohosted by the Office of Vice-Principal Research (January 16 and January 17) at the Isabel Bader Centre. There will also be a reading/book launch, Conversations with Rivers, with both sophie and Helen Humphreys at Novel Idea on January 23, 2025.
