The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) has launched a new program, Humanity’s Urban Future, to understand what it will take to build successful cities. Dr. Grace Adeniyi-Ogunyankin, faculty member in the Departments of Geography and Planning and Gender Studies, has been named a CIFAR Fellow of this new program. Grace will work together with researchers from around the globe to study how metropolitan centres have changed over time and space, with the goal of engaging policy makers, political advisors, and civic actors for future social impact.
