An open house hosted by the Centre for Teaching and Learning was held this week in the newly renovated Ellis Hall active learning classrooms. The three rooms are nearing completion and will be available for classes in January.

Room 319 has a capacity of 48 and is equipped with rolling chairs that allow students to quickly organize into groups or reconfigure the room. Room 321 seats 136 students in tables of eight, each equipped with two monitors that allow groups of four or eight to collaborate. With seating for 60 students, room 333 is equipped with 10 round tables, each with a dedicated touchscreen display.

The open house, led by Andy Leger, Associate Professor and an Education Developer in the Centre for Teaching and Learning, introduced faculty, staff and students to the unique configurations and course delivery models possible in each room.
