Daria is a former international student, who is now a professional staff cross-appointed between Career Services and Queen's University International Centre. In her dual role, she assists current international students and new graduates with career exploration and job search through career education workshops, individual career coaching, and experiential learning opportunites.

Grants and Programs Coordinator at Kingston Art Council
Violet is a former international student from China who holds a Master of Art in Art History from Queen’s University. Her background in the art and heritage sector includes exhibition design, public programming, and interpretation. She gained vibrant experiences in the Kingston art world as a long-term volunteer of the Kingston Association of Museums (KAM). She then worked at many cultural institutions such as Fort Henry, the City of Kingston, and Murney Tower. Violet seeks to bring cross-cultural perspectives and creativity to Kingston Art Council, fostering strong collaborative relationships and creating varied opportunities for local artists and art communities.

Victor brings international work experience from his home country of Mexico, where he worked as an Application Engineer and Customer Solutions Consultant prior to completing his Master’s degree at Queen’s. He also worked as a Research Assistant at Royal Military College of Canada, where he focused on creating 3D models and animations. Victor now works as a Software developer at IPG Photonics (Canada) Inc. Victor holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Queen’s.

Ruicheng is a current 5th year undergraduate student from China, who is completing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical and Material Engineering (graduating in April 2024), and simultaneously working on a Certificate in Business from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Ruicheng’s work experience includes interning as a research assistant and software developer at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as working as a Junior Business Analyst at Global Affairs Canada. He is currently planning for his graduate school application with a focus on material science.

Hailing from France, Emma completed part of her education at Queen’s, including a Master of Arts in History. With a vast array of experiences of working in museums, education, and research, she is a passionate advocate for all immigrants. Emma has recently started a new position with CERC Migration as a Research Assistant at the Toronto Metropolitan University, where she looks into experiences of French international students in Canada.

Ishaan came to Queen’s from India, and is now a Business Analyst in Deloitte Canada's Human Capital Organization Transformation team. He recently graduated from the Commerce program at Queen's University, where he was actively involved in DEI advocacy projects. Prior to joining Deloitte, Ishaan worked at KPMG, CIBC, a search fund, and also completed a pro-bono strategy consulting project for the Kingston Chamber of Commerce.

UG is a space centred in community and conversation, driven by play, curiosity, curation and research-creation.
