Mr Malcolm Eade (Queen's Life Sciences), Mr Tyler Whitney (Queen's Commerce and Economics), Mr Ryan Picard, Mr Christian Baldwin, and Mr Yusuf Ahmed have developed a metal-coated silicon chip that enhances detection of melamine in milk power and reduces the need for complex and costly lab tests.
Their prize package includes $125K in cash, an offer of $100K in VC funding, and service prizes including legal, corporate and marketing. Together, these prizes will help them continue with product development and to bring this technology to the market.
