Common Funding Questions from Researchers

This document aims to provide Principal Investigators (PIs) and those involved in research with key information to support the navigation in our systems and with the appropriate contact information:

 If you need instructions on how to create and submit a TRAQ DSS and/or

Find the status of your grant, how to request Approval for PeopleSoft Research Project Set-up for early release of funds, how to transfer Tri-Agency grant funds to a Co-Investigator at another institution, please check the “How to” sections included under Researchers Resources.

 If you need to submit decision notices of awards/grants and/or

Grant amendments (ex: no-cost extensions, supplemental funding, change of PI), certification approvals, please contact your discipline-specific post-award Research Facilitator (RF) via email, or submit an Event – Amendment Form: ‘Completing, Submitting and Re-Submitting Event Forms User Manual ’ in the corresponding TRAQ DSS. 

 If you require a contract related to an existing grant (e.g., DTA, MTA, IP Agreement) 

The contract should be submitted as an Event – Agreement /Review Event Form under the existing grant TRAQ DSS, for review by the Research Legal Services: ‘Completing, Submitting and Re-Submitting Event Forms User Manual 

 If you have questions regarding research financial matters

For financial matters (e.g. PeopleSoft Finance, FAST, ERS, the Research Project Set-up process including the final Budget template and Signing Authority Form), please contact Research Accounting .
