A place for everyone to call home
The Queen's First-Year Off-Campus Community (First-Year OCC, or OCC) is a group of current first-year students living off-campus and their upper-year student "Off-Campus Leaders (OCLs)." The First-Year OCC aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for first-year students living off-campus during their transition to university. Our goal is to help ease your transition into the Queen's community and provide social support and specific resources for those who live off-campus – whether that be with family, friends, or in your own space!
The First-Year OCC offers yearlong support through your leaders and the program to connect you with your peers, community, and resources at Queen’s.

Welcome to the OCC
July 30, 2024, 8:00-9:00pm ET
- Join us for the "Welcome to the OCC" Summer Social! This event aims to introduce students to the Off Campus Community and the Off Campus Leaders, who serve as mentors. Enjoy a fun "Hunt, Post, Vote" activity, where you'll share interests through engaging prompts, such as discussing the best movie ever made, and find common ground with your peers.

Off-Campus Community Fall Orientation

- Queen's University's First-Year Off-Campus Community Fall Orientation is the perfect kickoff for new students living off-campus. This exciting event is designed to help you feel right at home here at Queen's! Engage in fun activities, meet and get to know fellow peers, make friends, and get insider tips from upper-year student volunteers (the Off-Campus Leaders) about thriving in your first year. This will also be your oppertunity to meet your assigned Off Campus Leader for the very first time! This orientation event provides a low-stake introduction to the Queen's University experience, ensuring you start your academic journey with a strong support system and a sense of belonging. Join us to make unforgettable memories and ease into university life with confidence!
