Campus Security and Emergency Services has partnered with SmithToronto to integrate a new section into the Queen’s SeQure app, enhancing safety and security measures for those community members.

Key features specific to SmithToronto include:

  • Direct dial access to Simcoe Place Security for emergencies, safety, and facility concerns, which enables you to call them directly from the app.
  • Additional safety protocols for the underground parking garage at Simcoe Place including security station information and “in your car” tips.
  • Direct dial to the nationwide 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline. This hotline can be used when in distress or if you see someone in distress.
  • An updated SmithToronto floor plan, detailing evacuation routes and crossover floors in case of emergency.

All SeQure app users can access the SmithToronto tab from the main screen.

SeQure is a mobile safety app developed for the Queen's Community, which provides quick access to Emergency Contacts (i.e., Campus or Building Security) as well as Emergency Planning and Preparedness information such as procedures in the event of workplace violence, fire, or an active threat on campus or on-site at SmithToronto.  The app has several other features that include a Campus Map.
