Now that you have applied, there are a few things you still need to do to keep the application on track, depending on what kind of applicant you are.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for applying and to wish you all the best this year!
Activate your NetID
If you haven’t already done so, activate your NetID using the Queen's Student ID number that was emailed to you! Your Queen’s NetID is used to access SOLUS, which has important information, including your To Do List.
Add @queensu.ca to your safe senders list
Adding @queensu to your safe email senders list ensures that you will receive all your emails from Queen's. We will use the email address you used on your application to communicate with you.
Work on your Supplementary Application (if required)
Details about your Supplementary Application, including key dates and deadlines, will be on your To Do List on SOLUS.
The Supplementary Application is required for the Commerce, Health Sciences and Nursing programs.
Learn more about Supplementary Information here.
The Supplementary Application is mandatory for Commerce, Health Science and Nursing applicants. The last day to submit it is February 15.
Log into SOLUS and check your To Do List
We will add to your To Do List as we begin to assess your application. Check it often to ensure you are up-to-date, and on time!
Please note: Before trying to access your SOLUS Student Centre, wait at least 30 minutes after activating your NetID.
Steps to log into SOLUS Student Centre:
- Go to my.queensu.ca.
- Select SOLUS Student Centre.
- Enter your NetID and type @queensu.ca. NOTE: Even though you don’t have an activated Queen’s email address, you will still need to add @queensu.ca after your NetID. For example: ab123@queensu.ca.
- Enter your NetID password to access your SOLUS Student Centre account.
Please note that @queensu.ca email addresses will be activated for incoming first-year students in June.
Send your transcript (applicants outside Ontario)
If you are not studying in an Ontario school, submit your transcript. You may receive an offer of admission based on your Grade 11 marks. If you send us transcripts through the year, we will reassess your application every time we receive new information.
Please review the information on sending official documents to Queen’s before sending us your transcript.
Complete your Financial Aid and Awards Profile
Future Queen’s students are encouraged to submit the Financial Aid and Awards Profile. Through this single application, you will be considered automatically for many need and merit-based awards. Some of the programs which are administered through this application include the Admission Bursary, Commitment Bursary, Major Access Award, many donor-funded need and merit-based awards, and the Promise Scholars program.
