Protein Function and Structure

Our lab is dedicated to investigating the intricate structures and functions of proteins, using a wide range of cutting-edge approaches such as biochemical, biophysical, structural biology, and cell biology techniques.

Our primary focus is to gain a comprehensive understanding of protein functions, with a particular emphasis on protein phosphorylation and polyphosphorylation systems, biodegradation, antivirulence drug development, among others.

Through our work, we strive to uncover the molecular mechanisms that underlie protein functions and identify potential targets for therapeutic interventions.

Our lab works together with collaborators, aiming to push the boundaries of protein research.

Our research is supported by New Frontiers in Research Fund, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, Genome Canada, and Canada Research Chair program.
