Department of Mathematics,
Bilkent University
My time at Queen's University was amazing. I completed my doctoral studies there from 2011 to 2015, and I can confidently say it had a significant impact on my academic career.
Right from the start, I was really impressed by the professors in the Mathematics and Statistics program, who had diverse research interests. My PhD advisors, in particular, are not only well-known researchers in their field but also dedicated teachers and mentors. They played (and continue to play) a crucial role in shaping my research and ensuring my success as a scholar.
I also want to acknowledge the program's administrative and support staff. They were efficient and dedicated, making sure the academic environment was smooth and supportive, allowing me to fully focus on my research.

One notable aspect of the program is its lively academic community. I had the opportunity to interact with fellow PhD students, which creates an intellectually stimulating environment. We are still in contact even after 8 years. Participating in seminars, workshops, and conferences not only expanded my knowledge but also provided valuable networking opportunities that have been beneficial throughout my career. Overall, I remember my time at Queen's University with great joy. If I had the chance to pursue another doctorate, I would choose Queen's University and the same advisors without hesitation.
