Fast Facts

Tecnologico de Monterrey and Queen’s have a long-standing undergraduate exchange agreement that started in 1991 and involves the Faculties of Arts & Science, Smith Engineering, and Smith School of Business

Since 2008: 11 Queen’s students have studies at Tec de Monterrey on exchange and 32 students from Tec de Monterrey have been hosted at Queen’s. 

Discussions are underway to deepen our collaboration through research internships and visiting researchers. 


Recent Initiatives

In 2023:

  • Queen's collaborated at the AIEA Conference: Dra. Alejandra Maria Vilalta Perdomo, Director for International Academic Development & Global Initiatives (Tec), and Heather Kincaide, Director, Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement (Queen's) jointly presented on efforts to advance SDGs on campus, sharing best practices from each institution.
  • Dr Carlos Escobedo, Professor and Graduate Coordinator, Department of Chemical Engineering, Smith Engineering recently gave a keynote lecture at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Biomedical Engineering Program.
