Queen’s University representatives from Smith Engineering Department of Mining, Faculty of Arts & Science Department of Geological Science and Geological Engineering, the Master’s of Earth and Energy Resources Leadership Program, and the Office of the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement recently attended the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) in Toronto.
As part of the conference, Queen’s representatives met with a variety of prospective partners, including a representative from the Ministry of Production and Sustainable Development of the Government of Salta in northern Argentina. The Ministry of Production and Sustainable Development in Salta has a young and growing labour population that is in need of training and skills developing. This is an opportunity for Queen’s to offer programming, to help develop skills and sustain continued growth in the Province of Salta.
As we continue our discussions with the Ministry of Production and Sustainable Developing in the Government of Salta, we hope to engage more deeply in Argentina to support their growing needs.
