MEXT Scholarship program (Research Students)
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies and earning master and/or doctoral degree at a Japanese university.

WPI-AIMEC Postdoctoral Researcher
WPI-AIMEC is a new research institute focusing on Marine-Earth Science and Technology hosted by JAMSTEC and Tohoku University.
This new institute is one of the WPI (the World Premier International Research Center Initiative) in Japan.

RIKEN is one of the Japanese National Research Agencies focusing on natural sciences.
SPDR is known as one of the best postdoctoral fellowships in Japan and winner can receive not only salary but also research budget (1,000,000 yen per year) for three years.
