The I-CREAte Community Researcher Capacity Building Toolkit is a resource developed by the I-CREAte team to help community members with no research experience learn the research process. Designed for beginners, this toolkit uses publicly available resources, videos, and guides to help every day community member learn the process of doing meaningful, community-based participatory research and qualitative research.
How to use this toolkit
The toolkit starts at the very beginning, with an introduction to research and builds through 11 chapters through to how to collect, analyze and share research results.
This is not necessarily a complete guide to the entirety of research, but instead is meant to introduce key concepts to community members who are new to research. There are several resources linked in this toolkit which provide a much more in-depth review of the research process. I-CREAte encourages users of this toolkit to explore the links and continue self-directed learning beyond this resource.
