Appreciation and Recognition Creating Change - ONLINE

When:
Wednesday, August 21, 2024
1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Where:
Description:

This virtual workshop will focus on learning how to engage decision makers in reviewing appreciation and recognition employee suggestions, against evidence or practice-based approaches for policies and procedures.

This session should include decision makers who are able to authorize a plan of action to improve psychological health and safety. These may be different decision makers from other workplace stakeholders. Employees, leaders and union representatives can all contribute to a plan for improving recognition and appreciation.

This session will focus on the next step in the process of team appreciation and recognition which is to engage decision makers in reviewing employee suggestions against evidence or practice-based approaches. The main objective in this workshop is to modify or create policies and procedures that improve appreciation and recognition for the organization.

The link for this session as well as the participant handbook will be sent to you on the Friday before the session.  It is strongly encouraged to review the handbook in advance of the course, to familiarize yourself with the material that will be covered.

Creating Change is the second course in the Recognition and Appreciation Workshop Series. Creating Awareness, the first workshop in this series, provided learning for each psychosocial factor and must be done prior to completing the Creating Change workshop.

Tuesday, August 13, 2024
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Where:
Description:

In this virtual session you will learn how to lead a team discussion to address recognition and appreciation in the workplace through creating team awareness.

This session is suited for teams who regularly do similar tasks and want to improve psychological health and safety. Others who may be interested in participating in this workshop include workplace stakeholders.

This workshop focuses on engaging an entire team in reviewing the factors that impact psychological health and safety in the workplace as it relates to recognition and appreciation. This approach is recommended by the National Standard of Canada on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. By doing this, the team will build awareness of the responsibility of each employee to contribute a positive workplace culture through appreciation and recognition. There is also an opportunity to get team involvement in developing and being a part of the solution.

The link for this session as well as the participant handbook will be sent to you on the Friday before the session.
