Transforming Lives Scholarship

Donor Story:

Rehabilitation Therapists, PTs and OTs, are a group of health care providers that restore functions and relieve pain experience in people with various illnesses and disabilities. Being a polio survivor since 4 months old, Queen’s School of Rehabilitation Therapy provided me with an opportunity to become a physiotherapist regardless of my physical limitations. Having this physical disability, it fosters me to be more empathetic to others with their physical limitations. Setting up this Scholarship with a maximal $5,000 annually as an entrance scholarship to Queen's PT or OT program, this will motivate any candidate with physical disabilities of any kind to become a compassionate and empathetic rehab therapist in the society he or she serves.
