Ratehub.ca is Canada’s leading online financial comparison platform. We are a Toronto and Kingston-based company, co-founded in 2010 by BCom’07 graduates Alyssa Furtado and James Laird. We are proud to have a strong female co-founder, and our leadership team are passionate about ensuring the success of those who are underrepresented in business. The Ratehub.ca Commerce Award was established in 2017 to acknowledge the efforts of upper-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Smith School of Business who are actively working to increase the status of women or minorities in business.
About the Fund:
Established in October 2017 by Ratehub.ca. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic achievement to second, third or fourth year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce program in the Smith School of Business. Preference will be given to students who are involved in extra-curricular activities that support and promote diversity or women in leadership at the Smith School of Business. Applications are to be made to the Office of the University Registrar, Student Awards by 31 October.
