Donor Story:
With me as their only surviving child (infant), my parents escaped from probable death in 1922 from Turkey. Armenians were still being persecuted upon the withdrawal of the "Allied Occupation" at this time. After three months in an Ellis Island, New York holding camp, they granted entry into Canda as indentured farm labourers. Soon, my father re-established his carpentry profession, moved to Brantford, Ontario. I grew up there and attended Brantford Collegiate Institute and then to University of Toronto Medical School.
