Donor Story:
We are delighted to be establishing an endowed Exchange Scholarship, which will exist in perpetuity in the name of the MBA Class of ’91! We like the exchange idea because as many know, living abroad – even briefly – creates an imitable impact on one’s perspective on life and the world. It evolves one’s perception of our home country in a useful way. Moreover, studying at a university abroad (versus just living/working) makes the experience even more impactful. For many prospective students, the ability to participate in an international exchange program is a deciding factor in their selection of a Canadian MBA program (versus doing their MBA in the US/abroad). Therefore, we are very pleased to be establishing an Exchange Scholarship as a way to enhance the appeal of our business school and enrich the experience of Smith MBA students.
About the Fund:
Established in September 2017 by the class of MBA 1991 in recognition of their 25th reunion. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and demonstrated interest to students in the Full-Time MBA program in the Smith School of Business who have been selected to participate in a formal international exchange with one of the Smith MBA partner Business Schools. Preference will be given to students who may not otherwise be able to participate in an international exchange opportunity as determined by the Awards Committee of the Full-time MBA program in the Smith School of Business. Selection will be made by the Awards Committee of the Full-time MBA program in the Smith School of Business.
