Donor Story:
Established by the family of Mark A. Bernstein on his 70th birthday. Over the years they had politely listened to his positive statements about the education he had received at Queen's and why the "B" course was so superb because it touched on many disciplines. They thought that this would be something he would appreciate. He did! Mark had lived in Winnipeg since 1954 having spent his career developing and manufacturing protective coatings.
Update: Mark A. Bernstein passed away on February 25, 2019
About the Fund:
Established in May 1997 and revised in January 2008 by the family of Mark Alan Bernstein, B.Sc. 1948, and awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to a student in the third year of the Engineering Chemistry program in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
