Established by Margaret Crain in memory of Irene MacAllister MacRae, B.A. 1914, who was vice-president of the Mathematics Club while at Queen's. Irene was one of the first two women to graduate from Queen's in honours mathematics and physics. She was active on the executive of the YWCA during her years at Queen's. Her five children graduated from Queen's as did several of her grand and great grandchildren.
