Donor Story:
Hugh was an exceptional teacher. His students loved and respected him, as we found out when he died suddenly at age 30. The response from students, former and present, was overwhelming. A scholarship was set up at the high school he taught at in Cornwall. When the school became an elementary school, Queen's was the best choice to continue to honour him and help a deserving student carry on in the field Hugh so loved. I credit Hugh for providing the encouragement his students needed. These are the kind of teachers we hope this bursary will help.
