Donor Story:
This fund was created by my father in memory of my mother (Evelyn Gault) and Evelyn Eastley, the woman he married sometime after my mother's death. Evelyn Gault was a nurse who did her training at the Royal Alexandra Hospital; she grew up on a farm in northern Alberta and worked until she began a family. Evelyn Eastley grew up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan. She did her training at a hospital in Regina and then worked for many years in Vancouver and I believe was a Director of Nursing at the Children's Hospital in Vancouver at the time of her retirement. My father thought it was important that students from northern Alberta and southern Saskatchewan were supported during their nursing training and he also wanted to support a scholarship at his university.
