Donor Story:
Dr. Nathan Kaufman’s wife, Rita Friendly Kaufman, was a life-long volunteer and this fund was established by Dr. Kaufman in the spirit of providing support for medical students to engage in community service while attending Queen’s medicine – and share their learning with the Queen’s community. It is Dr. Kaufman’s hope that these students will actively engage in the community, provide interventions that influence the social determinants of health and learn the importance of justice and equity when working with vulnerable populations.
