Donor Story:
With the financial help of family Dr. Bill Leacy (Meds'60) was able to move to Kingston and enter Queen’s University School of Medicine. At Queen’s Bill met the love of his life Barbara Moore, who was also at Queen’s with the help of financial assistance. To honour the impact of Queen’s on their lives, Bill and Barbara’s children have established the Dr. Bill and Barbara Leacy Medical Student Bursary to support students from challenged socio-economic backgrounds.
Fund Description:
Established by the family of Dr. Bill Leacy, M.D. 1960, and Barbara Leacy, B.A. 1957. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need to undergraduate students in any year of the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
