Donor Story:
There were many veterans in WWII in the Class of Arts '50. Class members were trying to make up for lost time, and many were living on Department of Veteran Affairs assistance of only $60 a month. Some were married with children and it was very tough. We all saw the need for a fund to help future students in need.
Fund Description:
Given by the members of the Class of Arts '50 in sincere appreciation of the benefits received while students at Queen's University. Awarded annually to a student entering final year in the Faculty of Arts and Science who has made a personal contribution to the life of the University and who has maintained a GPA of at least 2.0 on the work of his or her program.
