Queen's '13 Brewers Award

Donor Story

The Queen's '13 Brewers Award Fund was created by four members of the Queen's University 2013 graduating class, Robert Mitchnick (COMM'13, ArtSci'13), Ryan Peterson (COMM'13), Cord McGee (COMM'13), and Donald Gawel (COMM'13). These four came together at Queen's and recognize the vital role their university experience played in both their lives and in the formation of the company they founded together, Q4Q Beer Company Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Gananoque Brewing Company). This connection to Queen's University is ingrained in the fabric of their beer company, and it is as a result of this connection that the founders had a desire to give back to the school in order to help Ontario students in a position of financial need have the same transformative experience at Queen's as they did. Q4Q Beer Company Ltd. has committed to contributing 1% of all revenues to this fund, indefinitely.
