Jeremy & Judith Freedman Award for Studies in Israel

Donor Story:

The Jeremy & Judith Freedman Family Foundation established this award for students in any year of a JD degree program or combined JD degree program in the Faculty of Law at Queen's University who have been selected to participate in a formal Queen’s University bi-lateral exchange in Israel. Awarded on the basis of academic achievement, an expressed interest in exploring Israel and gaining exposure to its people and culture, and a desire to share their experience with their law school colleagues following the completion of their exchange experience. Preference will be given to students who have not yet had the opportunity to visit or study in Israel.

This award is being established by the Donor in order to provide an ongoing opportunity for students to visit and study in Israel, to engage with its people, to explore its unique and fascinating geography and history, and to gain a first-hand understanding of its values and challenges. It is our intent and hope that following their return from this experience, students will share their observations and learning with their law school and Queen’s colleagues.
