Each year the Alumni Volunteer Summit (AVS) offers Queen’s current and prospective volunteers an opportunity for professional development and networking. Focused on Effective Strategies for Marketing, Communications and Social Media, this year’s conference features keynote speakers Dr. Sidneyeve Matrix and Queen’s Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Daniel Woolf.
Dr. Sidneyeve Matrix, is a National Scholar and Queen’s Associate Professor of Media and Film, teaching courses in digital communications, culture, and commerce. Principal Daniel Woolf, has taken the Twittersphere by storm with nearly 20,000 tweets to his audience of more than 8,400 followers. Dr. Woolf, whose Twitter handle is @queensprincipal, will speak about his use of social media from the position of an academic leader and how social media has played an important role in his connection to students, alumni, volunteers and friends of Queen’s.

The AVS is taking place on April 2nd at the Donald Gordon Conference Centre. Registration closes on March 28th.
