Queen’s University will announce the name of the 21st Principal and Vice-Chancellor during a special event that will be livestreamed on Monday, Nov. 5.
The appointment announcement follows a thorough search process launched earlier this year. A Joint Board-Senate Principal Search Committee assessed candidates from across Canada, and some from overseas, before recommending the Principal Designate to the Board of Trustees.
Current Principal and Vice-Chancellor Daniel Woolf will host the announcement event, which will include statements from Chancellor Jim Leech, University Board of Trustees Chair Donald Raymond, Rector Alexandra da Silva and the Principal and Vice-Chancellor Designate.
The livestream begins at 10 a.m. EST and will be available on the Queen’s University website, as well as on Queen’s University’s Facebook Page as a Facebook Live broadcast.
The Principal and Vice-Chancellor Designate will officially assume the role of Principal and Vice-Chancellor on July 1, 2019.
Daniel Woolf’s second five-year term as Principal and Vice-Chancellor ends the day before, on June 30, 2019.
