On Nov. 15, fundraising professionals recognize the great impact of philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community, as well as their dedication to the enrichment of our world.
The philanthropic impact of our donors and volunteers at Queen’s deserves more than a single day of recognition, so in 2019, we began a new tradition of celebrating National Philanthropy Week.
National Philanthropy Week allows Queen’s to highlight our appreciation to our donor and volunteer community members while noting their impact on the Queen’s community through their continued support and generosity.
This year our National Philanthropy Week theme will focus on philanthropic support that has aided our mission to improve our Times Higher Education Rankings position, regarding advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015. The 2021 rankings examined more than 1,200 post-secondary institutions from 94 countries and focused on a variety of categories including no poverty, good health and wellbeing, clean water and sanitation, reduced inequalities, peace, justice and strong institutions, and more.
Our celebrations will kick off on Nov. 8 across our social media channels and website.
We celebrate National Philanthropy Week because of you. The Queen’s community continues to thrive and experience incredible opportunities because of the incredible support of the alumni and donor community. #QueensThanksU
