Vancouver Branch - Volunteers at the food bank

Join us for an afternoon of volunteering at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB). We will be providing hands-on support to the food bank and working together to provide healthy food to their clients. This will be a great opportunity to share the tricolour spirit and give back to our community.

Family and friends are welcome to join, however please note that all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

This shift could include tasks that involve lifting and carrying, including distribution, line management, restocking and more. The GVFB provides PPE, including optional masks and gloves, for volunteer use. Volunteers will also receive a briefing at the beginning of their shift that outlines all health and safety procedures.

Getting there
Limited parking is available at the Vancouver Distribution Centre. The location is a 7-minute walk from Rupert Station on the SkyTrain's Millenium Line. It is about a 2-minute walk from stops on the 009 bus line.
