In honour of Queen's 175th anniversary, the university is conferring its first honorary degree of 2017, and first in the history of Queen's to be bestowed outside of Canada, to Justice Kin Kee Pang, Arts'70. The degree will be presented to Justice Pang at a ceremony on Saturday, May 20th.

To mark this special occasion, the evening before Jeff Nankivell, Consul General of Canada for Hong Kong and Macao, together with Daniel R. Woolf, Artsci'80,  Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Queen's University will host a private reception at the Official Residence of the Consul General in honour of Justice Pang.
