Be part of the conversation at the first-ever Queen’s Micro Summit Series, where we’ll explore the world of AI through the power of supercomputing.  

Engage with leading Queen’s researchers, industry experts, and students:  

  • Dr. Ahmed E. Hassan, NSERC/RIM Industrial Research Chair in Software Engineering for Ultra Large Scale Systems and Canada Research Chair in Software Analytics at the School of Computing at Queen’s.  
  • Dr. Ryan Grant, Assistant Professor at the Ingenuity Labs Research Institute at Queen’s.  
  • J. Kim Fennell, Managing Director at Fleet Hill Ventures, Board Director, CEO, ex-Uber Business Development, Venture Partner, Speaker, Angel Investor/Advisor.  

Night 1: Hear from leading Queen’s researchers who are driving innovation during a TED Talk-style keynote.  

Night 2: Dive deeper into the possibilities of tomorrow during a fireside chat with Queen’s researchers, alumni, and students, all while enjoying a continued multisensory experience.  

Event itinerary

February 19 (Night 1)

  • 7 pm: Registration and light refreshments.
  • 7:30 – 8:30 pm: TED Talk-style keynote from leading Queen’s researchers.

Please note: There will be time near the end of the event to connect with fellow alumni.

February 20 (Night 2)

  • 6 pm: Registration opens. Guests are welcome to enjoy a bite while networking and enjoying a tour of the Computer History Museum's Chatbot exhibit.  
  • 7 – 8:30 pm: Fireside chat with Queen’s researchers, alumni, and students.
  • 8:30–9:30 pm: Continuation of networking with fellow alumni.

About the venue

The Computer History Museum celebrates the computing revolution and its lasting impact on society. Before the event, explore the museum’s exhibits and trace the evolution of computing technology.  

Accessibility requirements
