What is the Parent Workshop Series?
The Parent Workshop Series is a program for parents and/or guardians of grade 7 and 8 students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD across Ontario. Based on the parent component of RARC's long-running STEPS (Successful Transition from Elementary to Post-Secondary) program, the Parent Workshop Series offers parents this same valuable content in a virtual format.
The goal of the program is to provide parents:
- Information and support to understand their child’s experience and potential more fully
- Skills to navigate the school system
- Ability to provide timely and targeted support
- Support to know they are not alone.
The program consists of 4 weekly virtual sessions.

Spring 2024 Cohort
Registration is now open to join the Spring 2024 cohort of the Parent Workshop Series.
The 4 weekly virtual sessions will take place on Wednesdays (May 15, 22, 29 and June 5, 2024) from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Registration closes on April 26, 2024.

Completed registration forms can be sent by fax, via email or dropped off in person. For confidentiality reasons, electronic files should be password-protected or sent via a secure portal such as SecureDocs to Packages can be dropped off in-person to RARC during work hours (9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday). Please do not leave packages unattended outside of RARC's office.
